MEET THE TEAM
Wanja Knighton is the founder of RISE. An experienced entrepreneur in the UK, Kenya and internationally, she has also worked in administration at the University of Oxford for more than a decade. In the last two years, she served as a trustee for a local breastfeeding support charity, focusing on diversity as well as an advisor in research projects regarding BAME experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr Rose Kogie-Henshall MB chB MRCP FRCS Dip IMC FRCEM MPhil Med Law, is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine, having trained and worked in Kenya and later in the UK is now based in the North West of England. She has a special interest in Prevention Medicine, which led her to working in Wellbeing and in Cosmetic Medicine both in the UK and in Kenya. Her passion for justice and fairness in the Medical field inspired her to study Medical Law. She brings with her extensive first hand experience in frontline medicine both in the UK and abroad as well as observations in the role skin colour plays in various aspects of clinical practice from training tools to diagnostics and delivery of care.
